SBS knows PowerPC®. Our CompactPCI single board computers are rugged, powerful and conduction or convection cooled.

The new CK5, for example, is a rugged 6U CompactPCI® SBC with fast processor and bus speeds plus large system memory capacities. It features the MPC7447A G4 processor from Motorola® at speeds up to 1 GHz. The CK5 integrates the new Marvell® MV64460 (Discovery III) System Controller bridge chip with a high-speed SDRAM controller and DDR SDRAM densities up to 512 MB. It is offered as a conduction or a convection cooled board.

As part of our ongoing commitment to lifecycle management, the CK5 retains the same backplane PMC interfaces as the previous generation to support existing applications. Like many SBS products, the CK5 was designed to facilitate technology insertion and system upgrades. The CK5 supports VxWorks®, Linux and other popular operating systems.

The CK5 is designed for use in a wide variety of applications requiring real-time control and low heat dissipation in extreme operational environments, such as avionics, navtronics, radar, security, surveillance, communications and industrial automation.
