Voronezh state agricultural university
Voronezh State Agricultural University is the oldest higher educational establishment in our town.
It was founded in 1912.
Its first rector was Academician of Soil Science K.D. Glinka. The monument to him is installed in the park in front of the main building. Our University has several buildings, old and new. There are 9 faculties at the University which provide training for agronomists and zooengineers, agricultural technicians and veterinary surgeons, economists and accountants and other specialists of agriculture.
More than 12 thousand full-time and external students study at the University. There are 54 chairs at the University.70 professors and many teachers perform the teaching process and scientific research.
They use modern teaching forms and advanced pedagogical methods in their work. The University has a good library, up-to-date computer center, well equipped laboratories and many classrooms. Students combine theoretical studies with practical work on the experimental and training farm. The University trains postgraduates on 25 professions. Students of the University have prospects of scientific improvement in students research groups and societies.
