Abstract. The article discusses the features of the concept of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company “Murman” for the period of 1957–1991-ies. We also consider the “the concept of the media”, consider the features of regional television, analyzes assumptions, reasons and effect of the transformation of regional television broadcasting on the example of “Murman” during radical social and political reforms.
