Apply for a job. Headhunting.

Nowadays it’s difficult to find a good job for people. First of all, your work place must be comfortable for you. As I think, no one wants to spend about 2 hours to go to work place and again 2 hours to get home per day. In addition to that, nowadays most employers need only qualified and experienced employees. Moreover, all candidates must attend a job interview, which needs a lot of preparation and attention. On the other hand, it’s difficult to find an appropriate applicant for employers. So let’s try to discuss process of employment from both sides. From side of employees and employers.

These days, many applicants submit their CV to companies they would like to work for. Often they don’t apply for an advertised job, but hope the employer will be interested enough to keep their CV on file and contact them when they have a vacancy. When replying to an advertisement, candidates often fill in an application form and write a covering letter. The employer will then invite the best candidates to attend an interview. These days, it is normal for successful candidates to have to work a probationary period in a company. This is usually three or six months; after that, they are offered a permanent post.

Nowadays usually employers advertise a vacancy or a new post – sometimes both inside and outside the company. Then, after they have received all the applications, they shortlist the candidates, choosing those who appear to meet their criteria. Next, they will assemble an interview panel and call the candidates to an interview. Some employers choose to check references at this stage to avoid delays later, while others wait until after the interview when they have chosen one of the candidates. Provided the panel are happy, the employer will make a job offer and the successful candidate starts work. Often they attend induction sessions or are given a mentor who helps to train new staff.

If employers want to find top-level candidates, they can use services of headhunting agencies. These agencies use three different sorts of method for identifying candidates. First is advertisement in appropriate newspapers or journals. The second is asking for nominations from their client organization of appropriate candidates. And the third, and most labour intensive method is own research. This method usually derives from headhunter agencies’ database, from talking to authoritative sources in the relevant market place, and then from beginning to map the business sector in which they are most likely to find good candidates. All three of those different methods will cross-reference, and headhunter agency would like to find candidates who’re sourced from each of the three methods.

In conclusion I want to say, that it is difficult to find an appropriate job for an employee and find an appropriate applicant for an employer. So, as I think, it is important to study this sphere. Applicants should read a lot about job offers and vacancies to find a good one. In addition to that, they should read a lot about job interviews to attend job interview successfully. Employers should assemble an interview panel to identify an appropriate candidate and if they need to find a top-level candidate, they should use services of headhunter agencies.
