Advising companies on organization and change

It is really difficult for companies to become successful nowadays. On one hand, maybe it is a difficult, because there a lot of other competitors and other organization. But on the other hand, problems can cause in organization of a company. Maybe different changes can solve these problems and so it is important to do these changes right.

One of the brightest examples of changes in company is a reorganization in newspaper «USA Today». When this newspaper started to lose popularity, it’s sales was extremely low. Company didn’t get any revenue. The president of «USA Today» Tom Curley took a big response and did big changes in company strategy and company structure. He started to expand sphere of the newspaper. Sooner the newspaper was advertised in different internet sites and television channels. He also decided to make the structure the newspaper more efficient. After these changes a lot of people got know about newspaper «USA Today» and they saw it, they really liked new design and new structure of the newspaper. But nevertheless, many top managers didn’t agree with this idea and didn’t want any changes in the company. Tom Curley understood this and he risked. He fired 5 of 7 old top managers and invited new managers, which supported his idea and his strategy. As a result, these changes led to significant success. «USA Today» became on of the most popular newspapers in the whole word, sales was extremely high and this company became really financially successful.

In conclusion, I want to say, that it is important to understand, that all companies sometimes need changes in different spheres. It can be changes in rules, in organization or in structure of a company. However, it is important to do these changes right, because if you do it right, changes will be efficient and they will lead company to success.
