A hospital is a medical facility where medical personnel treat patients with medical equipment.

The history of hospitals began in ancient Greece. During World War I and World War II, many military hospitals were created.

Hospitals are divided into several types. Outpatient type institutions: 1) polyclinics; 2) dispensaries; 3) consultations; 4) ambulance stations. And stationary type institutions: 1) hospitals; 2) clinics; 3) maternity hospitals; 4) sanatoriums; 5) hospices.

Main structural divisions:

Reception Department;

Chambers;

Medical and diagnostic departments;

Laboratories;

Food Preparation Service;

Morgue

Patients are treated with medical equipment. The X-ray machine is for taking a photo of bones. The dialysis machine is for cleaning the blood when the kidneys don’t work. The neurological pinwheel is for testing for sensation in nerves.
